Hi!
Your responses from week 1 were interesting and insightful. Thanks for doing such a nice job.
For this week's blog, I'd like to talk about something that affects all of the us--the winter weather. To be exact, I'd like to find out what you do to deal with the cold and snow. Some people ski, some people watch movies all day, and some people even fish (like me). What about you?
What activities (indoor or outdoor) do you do to cope with the cold in the dark days of winter here in Missoula?
I look forward to reading your responses.

hi!this is Noela. As for me, with this weather i don't have many things to do! because i hate cold! so when i'm at home i feel good, in front of the TV with a hot chocolate!lol! but when i got free time, i read because i like it...i'll start fitness at UM maybe tomorrow; also, i like movies, go to cine...and be online(internet) to talk with my family and friends! however, i like walk but with this weather...noo!lol! that's all! hi!
ReplyDeleteHi!!!In my case,I like ski if weather isn't windy or snowy because those weather is bother me.Therefore, I'm skiing only good weather. On the other hand, if weather isn't good, I'll watch TV or movies,go to friends house, and chat on the computer with my friends.
ReplyDeleteHey!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, let's see, i think Missoula has a very beautiful cold witer. Before I didn't like it, but now i used to and i really like it. Actually i like all four seasons. In winter i'd love to go to ski, but unfortunately i never ski, and may be i'll go some day. Usually in these cold days im at home doing my homework, reading books or sometimes cooking and exercising. (I really like GYM in Missoula) and sometimes watching TV, listenning to music, dancing, at least doing something. I like activities.... :)
Hey!!!!
ReplyDeleteSince I arrived two weeks ago, I think that Paris' winter, of this year, in harder than Missoula's one;because, normally a parisian winter is rainy but not very cold. But this year, it's a very cold and snowy winter, so the circulation is awful, many planes are cancelled... But, let's see, maybe in two weeks I will change my mind!!!
Otherwise, I love skiing in winter, every years I go to Swisstherland to do some sky but this year it will probably be in Montana! Moreover, I do my homework, I read book and watch TV...By the way, for me it's difficult to choose a channel betwenn more then sixty; in France we have just six free channels, so the choice is easier and sometime you just set off the TV because there is nothing interesting on it! Finally even in winter I like horseriding because when you ride you heat ourself, thus that is great! And I forgot that I enjoy chatting on internet with my friends, but here it is difficult because of the jetlag.
That's it!!!!!
Hi,,
ReplyDeletefor me with this whether. If I were home, I'd go fishing by my father boat or go camping in the desert. But I'm in Montana so the thing I'd do is going skiing or walking in the snow with friends.
for instance, last spring I used to stay outside doing wheelie by a bike or smoking hookhah then hike to the M. but this spring I wanna do something different.. as they say I wanna hit the spot by goin fishing, camping and skiing. I've asked some friends to go skiing this month or to ride horses in Missoula, it'll be fun.
and you have to make a trip to go fishing Josh...
The activities that I usually do in the cold, snowy days of Missoula are mostly indoor activities and some are outdoor activities.
ReplyDeleteMy indoor activities are : watching TV shows, listening to music, reading different types of books, talking to my family in S.A., exploring internet, cooking, and what really takes most of my time is doing homework and studying.
My outdoor activities are: going to the malls for shopping, eating at restaurants, going to café, going to the theatre, driving around the town.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteMy home city, Sendai is North part of Japan, so I think I'm good at cold weather and also snowy! But I was surprised at last October because one day was snowing. It was really eary winter. Also snow is completely different with japan in here. Missoula has beautiful powder snow. Japanese snow is more wet than here. I like powder snow because it's beautiful. When I was in japan, I went to skying with my family many times at winter. I like skying. Then I came in Missoula, I tryed to snowboarding with my best friends. It was really fun, but my whole body got so much pain! But I like snowboarding! I want to be good snowboader someday! So I hope I can go to snowbording many times during this winter season. Actually, I will go to snowboarding this weekend with my friends! I'm so excited!
Hello >_< this is Ruda. AS you know, I came from Korea, and Korea also has 4 seasons: spring, summer, fall and winter. To tell the truth, my favorite season is not winter but summer. I hate cold weather, so usually in the winter, I don't go outside. I just stay in my home, reading a book or watching a TV. But there is an exception; in snowy days! Yes, I love snow, because snow makes the world beautiful. It covers all over the world equally, and then I don't need to see the ugly world anymore. There is neither noise nor fight, but either silence or peace. I like the clam, peaceful feelings, so whenever it comes, I go outside of my home, and walk on the snow. Yes! :) In snowy days, I stroll around my house, crunching the snow. It makes me happy, and now I'm happy. I think you already know the reason. There has been snow, since the last Sunday. I love Missoula!!! And also, last December, I learned how to snowboarding. It was sooooo fun!!! So, in this weekend I will go to the ski resort to snowboarding with Inma, Gaelle and Kazusa. I'm soooooooo excited now!!
ReplyDeleteHi friends. About me that is exited season. I love snow. In my home city, probably we can see snow few times of year, and snow condition is always bad as wet. when it was snowing during night, in the morning, snow melted down soon. Also I went snowboarding with friends every year. I heard Montana has good ski resorts that the big run area, the good condition of snow, and interesting courses. If It have a chance, sure I will go there even after classes.
